Here is my little flower from heaven.  Just another day in the life of a photographer.  I told her to get ready, I grabbed my equiptment and we were out the door, scouting out nearby locations to shoot at.  I loved every minute of it!

This is why I love my job.  Because I get to experience precious moments as they happen.  New lives being brought into the world with the most adorable couples you could ask for.  Love that pours out from each other and miracles such as baby girls named Alissa, that have been created.  I just know this baby girl is going to be spoiled.  You should see her room, it’s gorgeous!!!  Full of stuffed animals, clothes and shoes!!! She is all set!  I can’t wait to photograph her when she is finally here!  Olivia and Javi, you two are sincerely wonderful.  Thank you for opening up your lovely home to me and letting me capture glimpses of your life, your story and allowing me to show it to the world.  You have the biggest hearts and I know that your baby girl will make them even bigger.  Congrats!!!

They have known each other since they were kids.  Same elementary school.  Same circle of friends.  It wasn’t intended for them to be together back then.  They both grew up, got married, had kids, lived their own separate lives, as it should have been.  They needed to experience what life was.  They now know how life should be.  With each other.  They met up about a year ago each going through a divorce.  Both leaning on each other as friends.  No romance involved.  They were just two people merely looking for support from someone going through the same hurt, the same pain, someone to understand everything that was crushing their world.  Their friendship grew like a wild fire.  They depended on each other more and more as the days, months flew by.  He became her best friend.  She needed him.  They talked everyday on the phone, they saw more and more of each other on the weekends.  Next thing you know she began having feelings for her best friend.  He did things for her that no other man has ever done.  He listened to her.  Like, really listened to her when she talked about her dreams, her goals, her hobbies.  He supported her 100%.  For instance  she graduated from her medical school and mentioned in passing how she wanted to go to San Diego and hang out by the beach to reward herself for all the hard work and goal that was finally completed.  And guess what.  He looked into taking her there.  And he did.  She never expected him to do so, she just mentioned that this was something she always dreamed of doing but never got the chance to do.  This is when she knew.  This is the man for me.  He hears me out.  Wow.  What an amazing feeling.  Josie and Raul, I wish you the best in life.  You deserve to find true happiness.  You deserve each other.  Continue to make each other smile.  Continue to love like you have never lost.  Continue to make this marriage everything that it should be.  Thank you for allowing me to be a HUGE part of it.  I so enjoy documenting it and showing it to the world. xoxo.

I just wanted to have a small tea party for her.  But who was I to think that a “tea party” is cool at the age of 9??? That is soooooo 2008.  She opted to go to Amazing Jakes and then have a sleep over.  With 6 girls.  Six.  It’s going to take me a year to recuperate from that!!!  Seriously how could 9 year old girls be so energetic???  Sheesh.  We ended up having a great time!  My baby is getting so big.  She promises me that she will not grow up and leave me lonely.  I’m not so sure of it.  She seems so independent already.  So wise for her age.  So nurturing.  I will promise to enjoy every single moment with her while she is young.  I don’t want to miss ANYTHING!  Leilani, you are sooooo loved by soooo many.  You bring me happiness consistently.  Thank you for being such a wonderful daughter and for always making me feel beautiful even when I complain about how fat I am.  You never see the bad or wrong in anyone.  You are such a sweetheart.  You know exactly how to make my heart smile.  I love you to pieces baby girl.

Love your mommy,

She is beautiful, she is lovely, she has a HUGE heart and most of all she has such a strong spirit. One filled with hope, one filled with joy. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. It didn’t break her spirit. Double mastectomy. Such devastating news. How could you not break down and just yell at the top of your lungs?!! Lord why me???!!! I’m ONLY 28!!! I’m sure she did. That day. But today she holds her head up high. She continues to smile. She continues to love life. She continues to fill ours with hope, with love, with total admiration. Victoria you are an amazing woman. My heart goes out to you a million times over.   Here is to your journey.  I will be there to document it for you, just as you asked.   Love you girl!

My life changed on February 14th. I became a Godmother. I am honored. I am blissful. I am thankful to take on such a huge responsibility. I will be there always for this little girl. I will be there always for all 3 of her girls. She is like my sister. We have laughed together, cried together, experienced the loss of our loved ones to the battle of cancer together, can relate on every level of hurt, love, life. She is my best friend. I will never leave her side. I will never judge her. I will back her up 100% with every decision she makes because it is what makes her happy. And her happiness is my happiness. Isn’t that what friends are for? She is a wonderful mother, sister, lover, friend and most of all she is a wonderful woman. And I am honored to be the person she looks to for help, for guidance, for a glass of wine after a hard day of work. Tanya I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me always. Your girls mean the world to me. I hope you know that no matter what, through thick and thin. I will be here for you. I will be there for your girls.  Always.  I love you!

I love my job.  For so many reasons.  I get to spend time with such fabulous couples and share in the excitement of such personal moments happening in their lives.  It’s almost too good to be true with how happy  I am when I am behind my camera capturing little snips of life that will be remembered always with a timeless photo.  I just want to say thank you Megan and Troy for letting me capture this moment of yours right before your precious one enters this world.  How lucky little Tyce will be to have such amazing parents.  He will be able to look back at this day and know just how loved he was before he was even born.  And how much his daddy adores his momma by the tender look in his eyes and the sweet kisses on her forehead.  It’s amazing that Megan and Troy met when she was only 19.  And look at how adorable they still are together after all these years.  Makes me fall in love with love all over again.  You guys were totally awesome!!  I can’t wait to see the little guy!

I had an awesome opportunity to photograph the Arizona Diamondbacks interact with the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of the East Valley.  One of my friends from grade school, Bruce Hutchinson, invited me to come along and join in on the fun.  What a great time.  Great facility with a gorgeous view and the lovely Diamondbacks to top it off.  The coaches showed the kids how to bat and catch a ball and the players were inside playing Rock Band, hanging out at the batters cage and getting their butt kicked at some Pool in the recreation room.  :)   A.J. Hinch, Ian Kennedy, Miguel Montero, Mark Reynolds, & Daron Sutton were a few of the Dbacks that showed up for the meet and greet.  What a fabulous time.  Thanks Bruce for such an awesome experience!!!  Check his club out folks.  Here is some great information he provided about it.
