It was a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Saucedo-Conant household. Leilani took it upon herself to set up her students underneath the covers to read a couple of stories to them, while Mom & Joshy watched “boring” football. The students were so interested in the stories that Leilani had to read to them. How cute is this scene when you walk upstairs to check on the quiet little one you haven’t heard in awhile. Took my breath away. Of course I had to capture the moment.

She makes sure that all her students are comfy and cozy

She loves to show the class the photos

Beautifully peaceful

Must be time for recess

See what happened was… the boys have had a Fantasy Football League for about 8 years now. Girls were never allowed. What??? Tanya and Julie decided that they were just not going to take it anymore. They finally put their foot down. They started their own “Girls Only” Fantasy Football League. The two conferences are the Doublemint Dolls and the Bubblicious Babes. Cute huh? I debated whether I was going to join this team or not because I am NOT a football chick, unlike my crazy girlfriends. I HATE football…. YIKES…. did I just post that??? OMG the girls might kick me off of their league if they ever hear such a thing. I am the girly girl that goes shopping when my boyfriend sits on the couch for 12 hours watching nothing but football all day. UGH!!! Ohhhh how I dread when this time of season comes around. Oh how I have tried to get into it because I know he loves it so but end up falling asleep two minutes after the commentators start speaking. I don’t understand it at all! Soooo needless to say I was a little iffy joining. But of course Tanya, the great friend that she is, encouraged me to do so. So I did. And I am so glad! For one, we had a reason for us girls to get together and hang out to pick our peeps for our draft. And two I can finally get into Football and enjoy watching it on Sunday’s because I NEED to know which of my players are scoring big time. Hello people… I wanna win this thing!!!!!!!! My boyfriend is so proud of me.
I think he is more excited that I joined more than I am at times. Now he can stop hearing all the complaints, whoa is me. Cheers to all the women out there!!! Silly boys Football is for Girls!!!
Happy Playing!!!

We have been waiting for his season to begin all summer. Robert is such a dedicated player. Everyday in 115 degree weather he is out there practicing hitting, blocking, catching and running. He puts all he has into this game. Dedication, passion, heart, soul and will power are a few words that come to mind. This is his first year playing football for the Dysart Demons. This is his Junior year and he felt that he needed to get into sports again after taking a break for a bit. We couldn’t be happier. Although we hardly ever get to see him anymore because everyday he is at practice until 7:30 at night, we support him 100%. His first game was a great one!!! The score was soooo close!! The last minute was intense. We were all in suspense. They were down by one point. They decided to run the ball in to get 2 points to take the win. They didn’t make it. Wow. We are so proud of how much work these boys put into this game. You make us proud!!!! I know that you probably don’t read my blog. But one day you will and one day you will know just how proud of you we are! I could not have asked for a better son. I love you with all my heart and soul. Keep making me look good. GO #11!!!!!

We wanted to do something fun over the weekend. We had great intentions of spending some family time outside playing some goofy golf. We lasted all but one hour in the 110 degree weather. Well it was worth it. We had some yummy food at Red Robbins and laughed a lot while on the course. I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. I love my family.

So it feels like just yesterday that I met this beautiful little girl… now she is graduating from the 8th grade and has turned into a beautiful young woman! How time flies by. We enjoyed a lovely evening at the Wigwam Hotel and were rewarded with a delicious Starbucks Coffee for all the hard work afterwards!!!
